Summary: The Child Mind Institute seeks a skilled and motivated
Behavioral Technician to join our clinical team and work directly
with our patients and families in our Learning and Development
Center's College Success Program. The Behavioral Technician
receives exceptional training in executive functioning and
organizational skills interventions, as well as problem-solving
methods with college-aged students. Our Behavioral Technician works
one-on-one with patients, via Skype/FaceTime/Teams/Zoom, providing
bi-weekly support to help students organize their time, manage
their workload, make effective decisions, limit procrastination,
and solve problems as they arise. In addition to direct patient
care, the Behavioral Technician is expected to maintain regular
clinical notes, assist in data gathering, write progress notes to
students' parents, and attend all supervision meetings and
workshops.
Reporting to the Manager of the College Success Program, this is an
exempt, part-time remote position.The Child Mind Institute is proud

visit our .Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one, direct care to Child Mind Institute
patients through our College Success Program
- Schedule and attend bi-weekly sessions, via Skype/FaceTime with
patients
- Help college students stay on top of their workload, plan ahead
for assignments, develop study schedules, advocate for their needs
on campus, problem-solve difficulties, and remain motivated
- Attend weekly group supervision to discuss patient goals,
progress, and challenges
- Attend full-day student workshop, usually the 2nd Saturday in
August
- Attend any additional program training sessions, as-needed
- Enter and collect patient data and report on findings,
as-needed
- Provide three progress reports to patients' parents over the
course of each semester
- Provide detailed and timely progress notes for each patient to
supervisors. Enter all information into electronic health
recordQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, human services or
related field
- Prior experience working with children and young adults and/or
in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service
skills
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills,
including conflict resolution
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information with
discretion
- Professional demeanor and attitude; ability to interface with
families, as well as senior leadership, clinicians, and staff
- Self-starter and team player, able to establish and maintain
effective working relationships
- Flexibility with handling patient issues as they arise, and
communicating these issues to supervisors
- Thorough, accurate, and conscientious about assignments
- Positive attitude, energetic, and interested in working in
health care
