Deliver powerful results To achieve our vision, we are searching for Chess Teachers with a Bachelor's degree, at least 1-2 years of teaching experience, and mastery of Chess (rating of 1600 and above). Responsibilities: Execute a bold vision of excellence in Chess, designing inquiry-driven, intellectually rigorous lessons that cultivate strategic thinking, problem-solving, and deep focus in every student. Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture where students develop a genuine love for chess, embrace productive struggle, and feel connected to a strong community of learners and families. Champion Zeta's ambitious academic goals—leveraging Chess to strengthen critical habits like focus, perseverance, and pattern recognition that help students excel across all subjects. Use data, student work, and research-based tools to monitor progress, drive achievement, and elevate students from foundational skills to advanced strategic mastery. Develop authentic, trusting relationships with students and families to support each child's growth—on the chessboard and beyond. Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed, ensuring Chess is meaningfully woven into the broader schooling experience. Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in weekly professional learning, embracing coaching, reflection, and feedback to sharpen your craft and continually grow as an educator. The salary range for this position is between $62,000 and $100,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary closer to the beginning of the range, depending on relevant experience and internal equity.
