join our Calibration team. The ideal candidate will have experience
and knowledge in calibration, with at least 1+ years of
postgraduate relevant experience. MTI will provide training in AVL
tools and software. The role requires strong communication skills,
as the candidate will interface directly with customers and
internal teams.The position is offsite at a customer location in
Metro-Detroit, with the home office in Plymouth, MI.Applicants must
be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time
basis. Employer will not sponsor work visas for this position.Skill
Team Roles:The Transmission, Electrification, and Vehicle
Calibration Team provides engine calibration expertise. The Project
Engineer's responsibilities include:
- Defining, planning, and performing transmission and vehicle
calibration and related engineering work.
- Managing engineering resources according to project needs.
- Participating in technical studies, specifications, engine and
vehicle testing, data analysis, and validation.
- Ensuring data quality and preparing technical reports.
- Reviewing projects for compliance with engineering principles,
standards, and customer requirements.
- Coordinating technical development activities and resolving
test issues.
- Supporting research and development activities.
- Participating in customer meetings and calibration trips as
needed.
- Performing other duties to ensure project
success.Qualifications/Skills:Experience and Education
- Minimum 1+ years of experience requiredA Project Engineer
should demonstrate abilities in areas such as:
- Technical skills including:
- Supporting technology development, process improvements, and
knowledge reuse.
- Calibration/development experience with transmission types like
Automatic Step Gear, Dry/Wet Dual Clutch, CVT, Automated manual,
e-Axle, and related components.
- Independent functionality in vehicle/transmission calibration
for fuel economy, emissions, development trips, drivability, and
OBD calibration.
- Proficiency with tools such as Etas INCA, ATI Vision, Vector
CANape, AVL Drive, Matlab, and others listed.
- Relational skills, including support of team management,
effective communication, and accountability.
- Commercial skills, including supporting business development
