and up (varies on experience level) Location: Reading, PA Shift:
Mon-Fri (6:30am to 3pm) Description: Cannonball Recruiting is
seeking a Tooling Specialist for a injection molding manufacturing
facility located in Reading, PA. The position will be tooling
repairs to existing and new tooling using surface grinding,
milling, CNC and EDM equipment as necessary. This position will
also clean and perform preventive maintenance. Requirements:
Diploma from High School and/or from Vocational, or 2 year degree
from a technical college. 2-4 years of related experience and/or
equivalent combination of education/experience Ability to read and
interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating/maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and
correspondence Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures
and amounts. Experienced in geometry and tribometry Ability to use
precision measuring equipment Job Duties: Studies blueprints,
sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to
determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece,
sequence of operations, and setup requirements Measures, marks, and
scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece
as guides for subsequent machining Selects, aligns, and secures
holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and
materials on machines such as milling machines, CNC milling
centers, lathes, radial drill press, surface grinders, and band
saws Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors
such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or
out-of-balance machining and adjusts machine controls or control
media as required Verifies conformance of finished work piece to
specifications Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly
Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly Polish surface
tooling to required SPI and drawing specifications Assist in mold
cleaning and troubleshooting of molding issues. Develop repair plan
and suggest tooling replacement Operate forklift, cranes, sling,
hoists, and other equipment as needed Complete forms, disposition
changes, label chemicals, and complete any other necessary
paperwork Develops specifications from general description and
draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated Confers with
engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve
machining or assembly problems Work in other work centers as
production needs require Perform all work procedures in accordance
with safety standards Perform all work procedures according to
established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems
