Insulation Take-Offs and Estimating Assistant, you will be
responsible for assisting in the preparation of take-offs and
estimates for mechanical insulation projects. This entry-level
position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the
field of mechanical insulation. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the
preparation of take-offs for mechanical insulation projects.
Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine insulation
requirements. Calculate material quantities and costs for
insulation projects. Collaborate with the estimating team to
develop accurate project estimates. Maintain detailed records of
take-offs and estimates. Communicate with suppliers and
subcontractors to obtain pricing information. Support the project
management team in planning and scheduling insulation work. Ensure
compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or
coursework in mechanical insulation is a plus. Strong analytical
and mathematical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in
calculations. Ability to read and interpret project specifications
and drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
Outlook). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness
to learn and adapt to new challenges. Previous experience in
mechanical insulation or construction is a plus but not required.
