Job Description Job Description Title: Estimator Location: Jamaica, NY Job Type: Full-Time Work will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summary Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, technology related field, or equivalent. At least five (5) years experience in an Engineering or Construction field, with an emphasis in cost estimation. Demonstrated experience with review of drawings and contract specifications. Demonstrated experience applying RS Means (or equivalent) effectively and successfully to ensure accuracy. Demonstrated knowledge and use of estimating computer applications and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Hard Dollar or equivalent, preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess good interpersonal skills, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated knowledge of railroad construction practices, preferred.
