LOCATION: 205 W 39th Street POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr Manager
Technical Design provides specific technical support for the Calvin
Klein Supply Chain through strong technical skillset in
multi-product category ie: Knit Cut & Sew Woven, Tailoring &
Outerwear with leadership and influence the design and vendor to
produce the high end product. They will be responsible in achieving
correct fits and design details from design inception through
production top of line within the compliance calendar dates.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Interact with Design and Merchandising during prototype
development to achieve design standards for the for multi-product
category ie: knit C&S, woven, tailoring and outerwear.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of proto/fit sample, and
production status charts and reference books in conjunction with
the compliance approval process.
- Direct block, proto/fit, and production fittings. Update all
fit notes and revised size specs into Centric PLM in a timely
manner and pass to production team.
- Ability to clearly communicate pattern spec and fit changes
through sourcing to offshore vendors.
- Frequent TB with offshore team/vendor/SCFT to walkthrough the
tech pack, process, business expectation to make them understand
the expectations.
- Understand the product risk factors and communicate with the
cross functional team to do the necessary testing upfront.
- Ensure that all prototypes and samples are reviewed upon
arrival for trim and details.
- Organize proto and sample review set up.
- Develop and set up in-house block library.
- Understand the tailoring's interlining, shoulder pad, chest
piece & sleeve header to each fabric level and connect with the
interlining and update the BOM.
- Travel as needed to international offices or factories during
the development or due to in-production issues. QUALIFICATIONS &
EXPERIENCE: Experience:
- 10+ years of related work experience in multi-product
category.
- Proficiently using Centric PLM preferable.
- Experience working in Multi product category. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field Skills:
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Professional, mature person with command presence
- Understanding the fit/balance issues and correcting the
pattern.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Adobe Illustrator
- Microsoft Office Suite Internal: Design, Merchandising and
Sourcing teams External: offshore and vendors SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct: N/A Indirect: Product Development
Associate BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must work with design and
Supply Chain teams to ensure maintain design integrity while
ensuring that price guidelines are adhered to. DECISION MAKING:
- Seasonal execution.
- Budget decisions within the confines of a preset budget.
- Issue resolution in partnership with internal GSC Sourcing
Teams / leaders.
- Product decisions for execution in the production pipeline.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be solution-oriented and be
willing and able to find creative solutions to complex problems.
ENVIRONMENT: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and
internationally, if needed. This position is not eligible for
sponsorshipPay Range:$135,000 - $155,000PVH currently provides base
salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United
States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what
PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their
base salary for said position at the time of the posting.
