Pay Information $2,186 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of strong Med-Surg experience required License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, AHA CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours Must-Have: Assessment, EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy/insertion, medication administration, wound care, patient and family education, and working knowledge of inpatient hospice Required soft skills include critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, teamwork, attention to detail, composure under pressure, empathy, compassion, adaptability, and patience Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs and the physician’s medical diagnosis. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards. Supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
