active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This position offers an
opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist to work within a K-12
school setting in Jamaica, NY. The role is available on a contract
basis for the current school year (CSY), with options for either
full-time or part-time employment (20-30 hours per week). The ideal
candidate will have experience providing physical therapy services
in school environments and healthcare settings, supporting the
developmental and rehabilitative needs of children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy evaluations and
treatments to students in compliance with individualized education
programs (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, healthcare
professionals, and families to develop and implement effective
therapy plans Document progress and maintain accurate records of
therapy services provided Participate in multidisciplinary team
meetings to support student goals and compliance with state and
federal regulations Qualifications and Experience: Valid state
licensure as a Physical Therapist Proven experience in school-based
physical therapy and healthcare settings Strong knowledge of
pediatric physical therapy techniques and interventions Excellent
communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with
students, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapy approaches
based on individual student needs and learning environments
