Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice NP in Oregon!
We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an engaging
364-day assignment with our client in Oregon, starting Feb 9, 2026.
This role involves providing direct patient care, conducting
physical examinations, and developing treatment plans for a diverse
patient population within a correctional facility setting, with
shifts typically from 6a-4:30p. Responsibilities and Duties -
Conducting physical examinations, developing treatment plans, and
monitoring patients - Administering medications and providing
instructions to patients - Monitoring and documenting patient
health, including vital signs and medical histories - Providing
direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing
care plans, and coordinating services - Educating patients on
preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse
prevention - Understanding and adhering to correctional facility
security protocols, while working closely with correctional
officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety
and well-being of patients - Maintaining accurate medical records,
documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information
- Conducting rounds and evaluating patients returning from off-site
treatment - Admitting and discharging patients from the facility
Additional Information - Board Certification: American Association
of Nurse Practitioners (ANNP) - EMR System: TechCare - Patient
Population: Male and female inmate population - Case Mix: Managing
acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and
diabetes - Care Coordination: Collaboration with nursing staff,
including sick call nurses, for patient assessment and escalation -
Responsibilities: Catching up on physicals, addressing backlogs,
and managing charting - Emergency Response: Responding to medical
emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to
appropriate healthcare facilities - Shift Schedule: 6a-4:30p
