Glass Worker Apprentice About this company/job: This company specializes in providing mobile service window and glass treatments and retro-fitting existing windows and glass on commercial and industrial buildings by installing energy-saving glass films, tints and other materials designed to filter-out or absorb UV rays, in-turn reducing the cost to heat/cool buildings, strengthening existing glass and reduce glare/sunray into and off of occupied buildings. As a Laborer / Glazier Apprentice you will get to learn a construction trade (2 year apprentice program), travel the country and help to reduce our carbon footprint. - This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $20/hr depending on past window / glass (glazier) experience. Glass Worker Apprentice -Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring proper tools and materials are loaded for designated job which may require up to 18 hours of driving (paid/passenger in company vehicle).
• Brings materials and tools to other Glaziers to complete jobs on time and under budget.
• Prepares glass surfaces for coatings, film application and other resin composites.
• Takes time to assure quality of craftmanship.
• Follows OSHA guidelines for working safely, always wears appropriate PPE as designation by journey-worker or supervisor.
• Blends and mixes highly engineered glues, sealants and epoxy materials.
• Applies film, surface coatings or other engineered composites to glass and window surfaces with the utmost attention to detail creating a flawless bond between surface and new material. -
• Uses ultraviolent curing machine along with various other power tools -and equipment to complete work orders.
• Completes basic work order paperwork.
• Cleans up at self and that of others, assures the worksite is left cleaner then when you arrived Glass Worker Apprentice -Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must have basic proficiency in mathematics including adding fractions, reading a XY axis graphs/charts and ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to travel domestically within the United States and possibly some international travel (UK, Australia, etc.). -
  • Must be able to consistently work overtime (including unscheduled OT and staying late until the job is complete, work overnight and/or weekends - all travel expenses & -food allowance provided)
  • Must be willing and able to complete a two (2) year apprenticeship program, obtain OSHA 30, lift truck certified, and learn how to erect, disassemble -and work on scaffolding in the future.
