Job Description:
Join our Child Welfare Services team, a leading provider of
social services dedicated to improving the well-being of children
through delivery of in-home, trauma-informed clinical services,
parent training and support for families being reunified following
foster care placement and preventive services to families at risk
of foster care placement. We are currently seeking a compassionate
and dedicated Social Worker (MSW) or Mental Health Counselor (MHC)
to support our mission of enhancing the lives of our community
members.

WIHD is looking to hire two full-time Clinicians (Master's level in
Social Work, Mental Health Counselor or a related field) to join
its interdisciplinary team. One of the two Clinicians will need to
be bilingual. The clinician needs to be licensed or permit
eligible, is hybrid with a minimum of 2 half-days on site. WIHD

Child Welfare Services at WIHD provides an array of services,
supports and advocacy for children and families involved with the
child welfare system in Westchester County. These services include
clinical assessments of children and their birth parents, pediatric
medical care, educational coordination and advocacy, and
community-based parent training services for parents with
intellectual disabilities and services for families reunifying from
foster care or at risk for foster care placement.
Clinician Summary Description: The Clinician (MSW or MHC) will work
closely with a team that includes case managers and
socio-therapists, with a focus on the safety and well-being for
children. Clinicians will receive training in Evidence-Based Models
and will participate in a rotating emergency phone coverage
schedule. Clinicians are expected to work Monday-Friday, with some
flexibility to accommodate family's schedules for late
afternoons/early evenings.
Clinician Qualifications:
Interested candidates should be Master level.
A minimum of 2 years' experience is required of having worked with
children and families impacted by trauma, including clinical
assessment and treatment, is preferred. Experience working with the
child welfare/foster care system, as well as provision of
home-based services, is strongly preferred.
NYS License in Social Work, Mental Health Counselor or related
field is preferred; Limited Permit Required upon Hire.
