Job Description:
The Solar Inspection Technician is responsible for conducting
pre-inspection audits, supporting municipal and utility
inspections, and verifying that completed installations are
compliant with code requirements. This role requires a motivated
individual capable of working independently while maintaining high
standards of safety and professionalism.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with
a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend daily meetings with the Inspection Coordinator and Field
Manager to review schedules and updates.
Perform thorough pre-inspection audits prior to official
inspections to ensure readiness and compliance.
Prepare access for inspectors by opening electrical panels,
junction boxes, and securing ladders as needed.
Obtain and organize required photos and documentation to support
inspections and closeout processes.
Install safety placards and collect inspection approval stickers
upon completion.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local
city and county inspection offices.
Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring
high-quality workmanship and professionalism.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operations and
inspection teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical
training is a plus.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in solar inspections, construction,
or a related field preferred.
Electrical experience is a strong advantage.
Comfortable working at heights and using ladders safely.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management
abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and general
document management systems.
Ability to learn and adapt to new software platforms; experience
with Salesforce is a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Company vehicle provided for inspection-related travel.
