firm is seeking an Estates and Trust Fiduciary Accountant to join
the firm’s growing Estates and Trusts practice. Falcon Rappaport &
Berkman is a rapidly-growing Long Island based law firm focusing on
the transactional areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning and
Administration, Taxation, and Corporate and Securities matters.
FRB’s fully integrated areas of concentration expertly advise real
estate professionals, closely held business owners, discerning
families, and private equity firms. The interdisciplinary
collaboration among the lawyers of FRB allows the firm to achieve
unparalleled outcomes for its clients that could only be secured
through proficiency in multiple fields of law. As such, our growing
firm begets the growing need for talented individuals to assist our
partners in managing corporate transactions, general corporate
matters, fund structuring and private placements. While FRB does
have an office in Manhattan, Westchester and California, this
position will be primarily based out of our Rockville Centre
location and can be hybrid or fully remote for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have the capability to manage preparation
and review of formal and informal Estate and Trust accountings.
They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical
mindset. Requirements: 4 years experience preparing and reviewing
fiduciary accountings. Responsibilities include but are not limited
to: Project Management of accountings. Preparation and review of
Estate and Trust accountings (formal and informal). Preparation and
review of Trustee and Executor commissions. Preparation of proposed
distributions. Coordination with the Estate administration
department to produce waiver and consent submissions. 706
preparation. Maintaining annual accounts and records for Estates
and Trusts. Data analytics and skillful problem-solving. Client
communications and Coordination with their other advisors. 1041
preparation is a plus, but not required. Position requirements:
Bachelor's degree in tax or accounting. CPA preferred, but not
required. Prior experience managing engagements. Ability to
organize and prioritize work. Ability to work independently, but
also work well with others. Ability to manage multiple workstreams
simultaneously. Strong technology skills (the firm relies heavily
on technology because the office is paperless). Prior experience
with Thomson Reuters OneSource Fiduciary Accounting software (used
to be called Zains) is preferred. Submit the following materials
